Our puppy Ruby is an in English bulldog we got her rom a breeder we thought she was just very docile but after having her fro two months we noticed something wrong with her back legs she started fulling over and was walking like a new born faul . We took her to our vets whom referred us to DWR After some test we found she had a hear problem and needed to go on heart tablets When they did a MRI on her spine that found that her spinal cord was being compressed and that she would need surgery we was advised that this was extremely surgery and that as such there was no guarantees of the outcome but we now have a happy health puppy that is getting in to all the things she should be we cant thank Oliver and the team for giving Ruby a chance to thrive Thank you julie Mark and Ruby

I can not thank the team of highly skilled, dedicated and professional staff enough, they have saved my little dogs life and given us precious time together ❤️

My opinion101

They helped my cat and made her comfortable and I cannot fault the care she received- however we were initially told a fee and then this ended up being (just over) tripled. I respect their work but there needs to be more transparency as it’s not fair to suddenly expect people to pay much more than they were told. We got to use insurance to help with most of it but that’s not always the case for people and their insurance limits. Have found somewhere else that is a fraction of what they charge for ongoing treatment who give the same level of care

My 12 year old diabetic dog , had been referred to DWR for cataracts . They had got bad quickly , and back in October 25 she went completely blind . We had to wait for her diabetes to be well controlled before seeing an ophthalmologist. Our vets referred us back in January and quickly got us an appointment for February. Reception were lovely and explained everything . We then saw the ophthalmologist, Lorraine. She examined our dog and explained everything to us . We didn't expect the option of surgery , due to her diabetes , but after being told the risks of not having the surgery , we decided to go ahead , and she was booked in for a few weeks later. I was very nervous about the surgery but Lorraine called me and reassured me . The day came that we had to drop her off . Again everyone was so friendly . Lorraine called us the following morning, just before she went in , then called again after the surgery , and again that evening . Luckily Maisey had the surgery when she did , as one of the cataracts had become detached , which would have resulted in emergency surgery . I can't thank everyone enough . Maisey has got her sight back ! I feel I have my dog back .She's no longer scared all the time, her diabetes has significantly improved, due to being less anxious and she is genuinely so happy . Maisey will have to have follow up eye checks for life now , as there can still be complications. But I know if there is , we will be seen urgently . Again Lorraine and all the team , have been wonderful and I can highly recommend DWR . Thank you again !!

Amazing treatment, investigations and care by the specialist vet at DWR, I feel totally confident that every possible detail of my dogs problem has been carefully considered and dealt with. On Friday 5th Dec our dog brockster was referred to dwr fro our vets where he was having treatment for a eye ucler which became a concern.we were contacted by telephone and emails and communications were excellent. When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and the lady at reception was very helpful and understanding. Everything was explained clearly from paperwork to admin ect.we were told to wait in the waiting area and help our selves to tea&coffee and the consultant would come out and see us.lorraine came out and assisted us to the consulting room.lirraine asked various questions regarding brockster eye.lorraine explained everything to what she was going to do and plan of action to save his eye.brockster was kept in and lorraine would update us Saturday which she did not only by phone but also pictures of thee eye how it looked Friday to how it was Saturday. Great communications from start to finish.brockster came home on Monday.a massive heart felt thank you to lorraine james and team for all you have done ✔️ excellent 👍 hope you enjoy the chocolates.many thanks Julie Peter brocksterxxx

I can’t rate this referral centre high enough! The whole team were excellent at guiding us through a very scary time. To the whole neurology team thank you so much for saving our boy and being so kind and understanding along the way. Here he is at home recovering well.
